About this product

Apothic White is a refreshingly crisp white wine made from grapes grown in California’s sundrenched vineyards with a small portion from Washington’s cooler terrain. Chardonnay leads the blend, imparting layers of apple and pear. Pinot Gris brightens the blend with hints of nectarine and white flower, while Riesling adds zests of Meyer lemon. Viognier tops the blend with notes of soft apricot. The mouthfeel is soft and round with a touch of toasted vanilla on the finish.

Viticulture Notes:
California’s 2020 vintage experienced a cool, mild growing season with an accelerated heat spell in August, resulting in early ripening. Vintage 2020 in California shows vibrant acidity and concentrated flavor. Washington experienced a moderate year, allowing the grapes to ripen on the vines longer, producing exceptional quality.

Winemaking Notes:
To retain the natural characteristics of each varietal, we fermented the blend at cool temperatures. The floral varietals were fermented 100% in stainless steel tanks to preserve delicate fruit aromas. Select lots of Chardonnay were fermented and aged on oak before undergoing malolactic fermentation to enhance fruit character and add toasted oak notes.
