THE SCARLET SPICE COCKTAIL

Add a little ✨ spice ✨. Introducing The Apothic Scarlet Spice, an autumnal Red wine based cocktail with a little extra kick for those crisp November nights.

INGREDIENTS:

3 oz Apothic Merlot


3 cherries, pitted (fresh or in a jar)


1 oz fresh orange or clementine juice (keep part of the fruit to muddle, if desired)


1 oz bourbon


1 tbsp honey or maple syrup


Pinch of cinnamon and nutmeg


Orange slices or lemon zest/peel to garnish



DIRECTIONS:

1. Place the cherries in a tall cocktail shaker and muddle them.
2. Add the orange juice (plus optional additional wedges of orange or clementine, sliced in half), Apothic Merlot, bourbon, maple syrup, and optional spices to the cocktail shaker.
3. Muddle the ingredients again. Then, close the cocktail shaker, and shake to combine.
4. Strain the mixture into your glass of choice over ice.
5. Garnish with citrus peel and cinnamon stick.
