Host your own Bachelorette Cocktail Competition

Hosting your own watch party for The Bachelorette? Double down on the excitement with a cocktail competition (featuring Apothic wine, of course). Here’s how it works. Each friend will concoct their own Apothic Bachelorette themed cocktail and bring enough to share with the group. Next, sip, savor and select your favorite before casting your vote.

Just in case you need a little inspiration, we’ve come up with a few of our own.

A little sweet, a little sour. Are we sure this cocktail is here for the right reasons?

1 Fill a glass with ice and add 2 oz of Apothic Red

2 2 oz of orange juice

3 2 oz of club soda

4 3 dashes of orange bitters

5 Garnish with blood orange wedge.

Add a little nostalgia - just like they do it back home.

1 1 c of vanilla ice cream

2 3 cherries to a stemless wine glass.

3 Pour ½ c of Apothic Red

4 Top with club soda.

Apothic Firewater Cocktail the Fantasy Suite

We’d love to show you how this one is made, but cameras aren’t allowed.

1 2 oz of Apothic Inferno

2 ½ oz of scotch

3 ½ oz cherry liquor

4 ½ oz fresh orange juice

So light and sweet, this cocktail is sure to be everyone’s favorite.

1 1 chilled bottle of Apothic Rosé

2 3 c of frozen strawberries

3 ½ c of lemon juice

4 3 tbsp sugar to a blender

5 3 c of ice

Add all Ingredients to a Blender. Blend on high until smooth. Strain out strawberry seeds and return to the blender with 3 cups ice and blend until smooth. Serve in a cocktail glass and garnish with a lemon wedge.

Apothic Red

The 2021 Apothic Red is a rich Zinfandel-led Red blend with red silky, smooth layers of black cherry, boysenberry and black pepper. Syrah and Merlot add intriguing notes of ripe blueberry and boysenberry, while a mix of other red varieties add dimension and depth with hints of spice. Soft and plush on the palate, the long finish brings vanilla and mocha characteristics, a reflection of the selective oak aging used to enhance and support the wine’s elegant appeal. Viticulture Notes We selected the majority of the grapes for Apothic Red from the Lodi and Central Valley areas in California. We sourced the Zinfandel from Lodi, a premium producer of intensely concentrated, silky textured fruit. California’s 2021 growing season was cool and mild, excellent conditions for developing mature, layered fruit. A heat spell in August resulted in an earlier than average harvest. Wines from this vintage showcase vibrant acidity and concentrated flavors. Winemaking Notes Red was our first Apothic release: a daringly bold and original blend of California-grown red grapes that created a phenomenon. Grapes for 2021 Apothic Red were de-stemmed, with a portion selected for whole-cluster fermentation. We fermented the wine for five to seven days in a combination of cone-sweep and upright tanks at a temperature averaging 85-88°F. Across all lots, we exercised meticulous temperature control to maximize the extraction of color and dark fruit notes.

Apothic Inferno

Apothic Inferno is a Red Wine with a Whiskey Soul. Aging some of this Zinfandel-and-Merlot-led blend in whiskey barrels adds intriguing dimensions of maple and spice to Inferno’s dark, velvety-smooth layers of dried blackberries, black plum and cherry. Plush and rich on the mouth, well-integrated tannins add texture and structure while hints of toasty vanilla and cocoa linger on the long, warm finish.

Apothic Rosé

Our Apothic Rosé offers the lightness of rose petals with the boldness of sun-ripened red fruit notes. Aromas of wild strawberry, watermelon and white peach hint open in the glass before revealing layers of strawberry, cherry and red plum. The floral and citrus notes linger, leading to a deliciously smooth mouthfeel with a refreshingly clean finish and a dollop of honey.
